Dishonourable Northern Alliance True to Form ISLAMABAD 26 Sha`ban: After the fall of Mazar-e-Sharif to the hands of Northern Alliance and reports coming out of Afghanistan about attrocities being committed against Pashtuns in Mazar-e Sharif by NA forces, Amnesty International has called on the Alliance to ensure respect for international humanitarian law and international human rights standards, refraining from reprisal killings and other serious abuses. In a statement, the Amnesty International urged on those who have supplied arms, training and other support to take all possible steps to ensure respect for human rights.

Oh no there is NOT. I’ve been searching for any evidence that the NA have mistreated Taliban supporters, and found none. What the NA HAVE done is lifted the ban on TV and electrical goods, stopped the arbitary punishments of people by theTaliban ‘vice’ squad and above all, allowed women to get their jobs back. They’ve also said that women no longer have to wear burqas – now they can look out at the world as equals to their men. When the NA army roled into town after town all over N Afghanistan the prople came out and cheered and threw them money and flowers. Thery have been liberated from the Taliban and they are happy. Furthermore, the NA have been telling the press that all the fighters they are encountering – Pakistanis, Chechyans or Arabs. there are no Afghans among them, which goes to show that the Taliban are an occupying force. > Amnesty International has called on the Alliance to ensure respect for > international humanitarian law and international human rights standards, > refraining from reprisal killings and other serious abuses. > In a statement, the Amnesty International urged on those who have supplied > arms, training and other support to take all possible steps to ensure > respect for human rights.
Of course. As a member of Amnesty I can tell you the organisation always puts out such statements when a conflict takes place. Doesn’t mean any killings have taken place. Given the level of torture and violence meted out on the Muslims of Afghanistan by the Taliban regime I’m surprised the entire population doesn’t rise up and cut all their throats – and then come after their supporters in the west. NB. Latest statement made by the NA at 1pm GMT: ‘More and more Taliban forces are defecting and the Taliban are running out of money’. Better get your donation ready, Abdul.
Response:
Doesn’t actually prove that the Northern Alliance are committing attrocities. It just warns against it. The headline is sensationalist and doesn’t describe the article’s contents properly.

Response:
Hi Abdul ole buddy! >to ensure > respect for human rights.
Yeah, right, Abdul, just like the murdering scumbag Taliban’s hig regard for human rights! the road from Kabul to Kandahar will soon be like the Highway of Death in Kuwait. Retreating Taliban will be slaaughtered like the pigs they are. Their bodies will be left in the road for the dogs to tear apart. Think about it! Sounds great to me.
