Missed it, oh well. Actually the connection problem might be WN to TWA ( or was it DL). We were doing AS and think I saw one or the other assigned to the gates at the other end while I was exercising the rugrat. Also the automated parking system is still not working. They were manually recording license plate data in and out – Sounds omnious for SEA which is getting the same system from what I have read.
Response:
Ontario California has two nice new airport terminal buildings that have just opened and replaced the old terminal. Very nice inside although short on seating down on 1st floor around baggage claim and ticketing. Pretty fair collection of shops and food places on the secure side of the terminal. One negative comment – the car rental still down at the old terminal with mid-sized shuttle vans transporting back and forth. Would suggest you drop any passengers and baggage at new terminals then go take care of rental while lightly loaded. I would guess you need at least 20 minutes to drop a rental and get back to the terminal unless you just happen to hit the van right.

Lee; I posted a "trip report" on the new ONT airport a few months ago. The car rental situation will get straightened out on January 4. Meanwhile, the computerized touch-screen info kiosk has no idea where the rental car counter might be! Also, the two terminals are spaced pretty far apart with room to add more terminals in between. However, I don’t think very many people do things like connect from WN to AA at ONT. Ken Ishiguro
