Response:
I dont test my blood until 12 before breakfast. I am embarassed to say I sleep till ten and eat at 12, 4:30 and 9 and that is when I test. But if you have lunch at 12 and you spiked, I imagine you ate too many carbs at breakfast. Last night I did have too many carbs and my bgs were 150 this morning which is high, not out of this atmosphere but high. Loretta Say what you mean and mean what you say

My husband’s BG seems to spike about an hour after meals, regardless of what he eats. It will spike higher if he has a larger than normal amount of carbs. He’s been exercising right after meals, and has not been spiking as bad. Denise

Spiking one hour after meals is pretty normal…. Ronnie Ruff http://www.erols.com/driver8 ICQ 82821284 Don’t take life too seriously … because you won’t get out alive. — Bugs Bunny

Yep, this happens to me on a daily basis. No amount of insulin will bring this down, and it happens even if I don’t eat anything all day. Don’t know if this is quite the same as you, but that’s my take on it. Got questions? Get answers over the phone at Keen.com. Up to 100 minutes free! http://www.keen.com
Response:
The bottom line is ‘yes is does depend on what you eat in relation to your insulin intake’ In other words ‘when and how much’ Simple keep a diary and be honest and it will soon show up where the problem lies. Take care Barry UK

I get a real dilly of a noon spike, but it’s a direct result of 20 mg of Prednisone at breakfast.
