Question:
I am trying to control my glucose as well as possible thru diet and exercise. I get plenty of aerobic and leg exercise from bicycle commuting, but it leaves my upper body pretty un-exercised by comparison. I would like to learn the basics of upper body strength training using simple inexpensive equipment such as dumbells or those small spring/rubber band based gizmos they advertise on tv. Is there a good web site? dan

I haven’t found such a website. Not saying there isn’t one. Just haven’t found it. One of the best books I’ve seen is the 12 minute workout by Joyce Vedral. She uses light weights. I started with this book and have increased the amount of weight I use over the years. I also have some exercise bands that I use for travel. They don’t give me as good a workout as the weights do, but they are better than nothing. — Type 2 http://users.bestweb.net/~jbove/
