good for a novice, its actually more fun at night. It is located out by the University of British Columbia. Mount Seymour in North Vancouver has good trails just inside the entrance of the park on the left. It is just past a development road, you’ll probably see cars paked there. That is more difficult than Endowment. Mount Cypress also has a cool trail located at the viewing site about 1 – 1 1/2 km up mountain. The trail is just past the turn. I think they just put up a sign saying no riding. It brings you out about 4 km east of the Mt Cypress turn off on the highway. Some of the best riding I like is at the Delta Watersheds located on 64th avenue in Delta. It is about 1 km east of the 64th turnoff off of Hwy 91. Again, you will probably see cars parked in the area. Hiking in Vancouver, go to any of the local mountains (Cypress, Grouse, Seymour) and you will find good trails. Cross-country skiing is not my bag, but I heard at the top of Cypress has got the best XC trails. The turnoff is a right turn about 1 km before the downhill ski lodge. I can probably get you specific addresses if you need them. —- C.

I’ll be in Burnaby for a week in January or February for business. Since cable and hotel rooms suck, can someone suggest riding/skiing/hiking opportunities. (I’ve skiied Whistler once in April). It’s a pain to fly the bike, so if the riding sucks in winter I’ll bring XC skis or snowshoes. P.S. I have a rental car. Unlimited mileage/free gas. Everyone who claims business travel is great, loves cable and hotel rooms.
