If you missed the first Call for Votes (CFV) for moderating this newsgroup, the second CFV has just arrived. If you haven’t voted yet, look for the posting with the subject "2nd CFV: moderate rec.bicycles.off-road" in either this newsgroup or news.announce.newgroups (n.a.n is moderated and low volume so you can find it easier there). If you cannot find the CFV, contact the vote-taker, David Bostwick, at only use the ballot posted to the newsgroups or one that David sends you. Remember what this group was like about a week ago when Mikey left us for a while? Almost all the postings were about mountain biking!! Go to rec.bicycles.off-road, or news.groups, or news.announce.newgroups, or rec.bicycles.misc… Find the article with the subject line 2nd CFV: moderate rec.bicycles.off-road Follow the instructions. There is no need to vote again unless you want to change your vote. One vote per person – not one vote per account. You must have the CFV to vote, and only the vote taker may post or email the CFV – them’s the rules. So go do it. What is 3 minutes in the face of deciding the future of the newsgroup ? — Dave Blake

I just wanted to add that the vote can always be obtained during voting by doing the following if you miss the CFV. Go to news.groups. Find the CFV Daily in Progress Report Find your newsgroups of interest. Get the vote taker email (in this case always email the vote taker at the vote taker email address and request a CFV.
