In Portland, check out Powell Butte or Forest Park. Pump, the Portland Mtn. bike club has weekly rides there and are a good clearing house for other places. I don’t know about Eugene but Corvallis has some killer riding in the Mary’s Peak area. In Southern Oregon, Ashland has some great riding but you have to do a bit of hill climbing to get to it. Ashland Cycle sport on Oak street can tell you where to get the trails. The nice thing about Ashland is it all is really close to downtown. To get to Forest Park in PDX, head up Thurman street in NW PDX until it ends at a gate and you are there. You’ll pass the Fat Tire Farm om the way, a good bike shop. The best mountain biking in Oregon is around Bend. It has been written up in a few bike magazines. Timmy
